President Gordon Boerner rang the bell to open our April luncheon at the Westgate Hotel, warmly welcoming members, guests, and our Key Club leaders for a fun and engaging “Meet Our Key Clubs + Kiwanis Trivia Challenge” meeting.

The program began with introductions of new members and Key Club representatives. Members were also updated on our continued 5-year $63,000 SDSU scholarship commitment, underscoring our long-term investment in student success and higher education opportunities.

The meeting also highlighted the success of our annual Laurels for Leaders event held on March 11, which celebrated student leadership across San Diego County. In addition, members were encouraged to reflect on and recognize Kiwanis family connections—celebrating the many ways our members continue to show up in service, both inside and outside the club.

Club updates followed, including membership news, upcoming service opportunities, and additional ways members can stay engaged in Kiwanis leadership and community impact.

Then the energy shifted as we launched into a lively Kiwanis Trivia Challenge!

Put your brain engines to work and join us for a fun and interactive Kiwanis Trivia Meeting! Members teamed up with fellow Kiwanians to test their knowledge, share laughs, and see just how well they know Kiwanis history, traditions, and each other.

Whether a trivia pro or just in it for the fun, members enjoyed a spirited opportunity to connect, learn something new, and engage in friendly competition. With curiosity, teamwork, and plenty of Kiwanis pride in the room, the challenge brought out big laughs and even bigger camaraderie.

President Boerner closed the meeting by thanking members and Key Club participants for their enthusiasm and encouraging continued engagement in upcoming service projects and club activities.

As always, the meeting reflected the heart of Kiwanis—service, connection, and a strong sense of community.
