The Kiwanis Club of San Diego is excited to serve dinner for PATH — a chance to roll up our sleeves and offer a warm meal, genuine care, and a welcoming presence to our neighbors in need. The shifts are from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and you will help chef prepare, plate and serve dinner to 134 interim residents.

*Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow for parking and sign in and ensure you are ready to start at 5:00 p.m. Security will walk you down to the kitchen*

Volunteer Info

• Please wear casual and comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
  You must be at least 13  years old (with a signed parent release).

• You will enter the building on the A Street entrance, and check in with security. Let them know you are here to serve dinner, and they will show you to the kitchen.

• The Sixth Ave entrance is Family Health Centers, and it does not connect to the PATH side of the building. 

•  For parking, there is no designated PATH parking, although there are many garages and meters located around the building. Street parking should be free on Sunday.

• If you don't mind walking a couple of blocks, park in the residential parking by Seventh Ave and Beech St or Seventh Ave and Cedar St (about 5 blocks away). It is free parking for 2 hours.

Location Details

• PATH Connections Housing is located at 1250 Sixth Ave, on the corner of Sixth Ave and A Street. Please enter the building at the A Street entrance. There is metered parking on the surrounding streets for $1.25/hour, as well as pay lots on the surrounding blocks, such as Ace Parking. Carpooling is highly suggested. We are also only 1.5 blocks from the C Street trolley exit.
