Build a Home in One Day with
International Relief Teams
December 14, 2024, 7:15 am - 6:30 pm
Meeting at McDonald's in Otay Mesa, 2320 Roll Drive 92154
Join our team and build an entire house in one day for a family in need in Tijuana. Everyone, 14 and up, is welcome - no construction experience is required.
Volunteers must be able to commit to the entire day.
Volunteers receive direction and support from IRT staff, Volunteer Team Lead and Volunteer Skilled Supervisors throughout the day. General construction tasks on the build day will include framing, roof construction, painting, and installation of household amenities such as windows and doors.
Please Note: a valid passport, passport card, Global Entry card or SENTRI card is required.
If you have tools, please bring them, along with a refillable water bottle, lunch, snacks, sunscreen, hat, work gloves and hand sanitizer. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes; note that your clothing may be stained or torn while on the construction site.
This will be a day to remember! In just one day you will provide a family previously living in a makeshift shelter with their first real home. You will help change their lives!
