The Burn Institute is excited to offered a Community Service Team activity to support the Fire Safe Kids program that educates local elementary school children on fire and burn safety.  An exclusive 2-hour hands-on opportunity for Kiwanis members and their friends and family to assist with making the take-home bags of fire and burn safety information given to students who receive the Fire Safe Kids presentation. The event coincides with Giving Tuesday...what better day to show your support for a local non-profit serving our community!

Join us as we assemble "goodie bags" filled with important safety materials, sticker and pencil...plus a Kiwanis branded insert on

Tuesday, November 30th

from 4pm-6pm

at 8825 Aero Drive, San Diego 92123

A special presentation of Fire Safe Kids will be provided to the group at 5:00.

As we anticipate volunteers of varying ages to participate, we ask that all volunteers wear a mask during the activity.  Remember, not all ages have the ability to get a vaccination and we want everyone to be able to participate and feel protected and safe.

Fire Safe Kids is a lifesaving program that teaches children crucial fire and burn prevention lessons. It teaches youth how to protect themselves and their families against preventable burns, how to prepare for and act during a home fire emergency, and the consequences of playing with fire.
