MUST REGISTER THROUGH SD FOOD BANK
Please review this entire email instruction for clear registration direction and forward this email to each of your group’s volunteers instructing them to register. Let me know if you have any questions or issues when registering. Volunteers who are not signed up for the shift will not be allowed to volunteer.
***Registration DOES NOT automatically reserve all spaces for the event, each person in your group MUST register and sign up for the shift. This is a 2-step process for volunteers new to the Food Bank or new to your group.***
Each person in the group must sign up for the shift – which includes kids, friend, significant other, family member, etc. Any unused volunteer slots will be released for other community volunteers to sign up 1 Week in advance of the shift. To sign up for the shift all volunteers must sign in to their account, scroll to the event date and the green “sign up” circle next to the date.
Instructions for volunteers new to Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank: (Visual Instructions attached)
1. Visit http://sdfb.volunteerhub.com/account/signin
2. Click “Create an account”
3. Create a user name and password, click next
4. Enter join code “kcsd1“ (join code is case sensitive), click next
5. Fill out account information and click “finish”
7. Scroll to the event date and register for the shift Tuesday Evening Shift Warehouse Volunteer 6pm – 8pm by clicking on the green sign up circle next to the shift.
Instructions for volunteers with an existing Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank volunteer profile but new to your group:
1. Visit http://sdfb.volunteerhub.com/account/signin
2. Sign in with existing user name and password
3. Click “Your Account” in the upper right corner of the screen
4. Click on “join code” box
5. Enter join code “kcsd1“ (join code is case sensitive) .
6. Click “join” and “go to my account” on the pop up screen.
7. Scroll to the event date and register for the shift Tuesday Evening Shift Warehouse Volunteer 6pm-8pm by clicking on the green sign up circle next to the shift.
IMPORTANT THINGS FOR EACH VOLUNTEER TO KNOW
- Must wear close toed shoes.
- Plan on arriving 10-15 early for the shift. Late arrivals may not be permitted to volunteer.
- Volunteers must be 11 years old or older. Volunteers aged 6-10 years may only participate in guided tours.
- Volunteers aged 11-15 must be accompanied by an adult. We require a ratio of 1 adult for every 4 children.
- We have a high demand for volunteers to help eliminate hunger in our community, if you need to
- cancel your reservation,
- add more volunteers to this event (space permitting), or
- if your group will have a lower turnout than expected
