The Kiwanis Club of San Diego provides community service to the city and county of San Diego through committees as follows:
- Club Project/Grant Committees: These committees use money from the San Diego Kiwanis Club Foundation to accomplish the community service projects approved by the Club Board of Directors and the Foundation. The priority is on young children.
- Foundation Committees: The Scholarship Committee is one of the most important committees, and awards scholarships for students from San Diego enrolled in San Diego colleges and universities. The Foundation also maintains other administrative committees to help it carry out its important work.
- Club Administrative Committees: These committees are directed at membership growth, fund raising and other administrative activities.
